The Legendary 'Mr Harold Benjamin'

Harold (Harry) Benjamin, born on 4th November 1939 was one of 7 siblings, 5 brothers - Lionel, Benny, Eric and Jim and 2 sisters, Eula and Daphne (Gem).  Born in Crofts Hill, Clarendon, Jamaica he came to England in his early 20's to work.  Harry's work history was so varied, working in tailoring and factory work before he settled in his profession, which took him all over the world as a specialist in his field.   His golden smile, stressless lifestyle and love for horse racing, gardening and whisky made him loved by everyone that met him.

 

His brief illness took us all by surprise and we are so sad, but we are comforted to know that right to the end he laughed and joked with us about going to the pub with the other patients and travelling round with his friends.

 

Harry slipped away with his family and best friend by his side.
